Welcome to ExchangeHut! We think that once you take a tour of the website, you will see that ExchangeHut is a great tool to save you time and money. In order to buy or sell an item, you must become a member, but non members are free to browse ExchangeHut. In order to experience the power of ExchangeHut, you must become a member. By using our service, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and our privacy statement. If you do not wish to be bound by our terms & conditions and privacy statement, you should not register with ExchangeHut. We may change these terms at any time, but will notify you of any major changes to our policies. If you continue to use ExchangeHut, you are accepting any new or modified terms and conditions. Please check this page often for possible updates.
By registering you verify that all of the information you have entered is correct and up to date. Users are only allowed one account per person and we will verify this. By accepting this agreement, you acknowledge that you do not currently have a different registration with ExchangeHut.
Eligibility
ExchangeHut limits its eligibility to current students enrolled in their respective college. You must use a university issued email account to sign up for your account. After you sign up, you may change your preferred email address to any other address. If you are not a student, please do not sign up. Sign up at your school. For example, if you are a student at the University of Wisconsin, sign up for ExchangeHut at the University of Wisconsin, not another school. You are not allowed to register at a university you do not attend.
Service and Fees
ExchangeHut is a place for college students to buy and sell tickets and textbooks and find out information about their campus locally and efficiently. We achieve this goal by establishing dynamic buy/sell lists and dynamic lists of local businesses. The only information provided on the list is price offered and the condition of the object. The condition of the object is provided by the seller. ExchangeHut is not responsible for the integrity of the seller. The seller could provide false information regarding the condition of said object. If this happens, the buyer can choose not to buy the item or ask the seller to take a lower price. With that said, the condition of your item must be merchantable. This is a judgment call, but plain in simple, if you or your friends will not buy it because of condition; do NOT try to sell it here.
Once you agree to buy/sell an item, ExchangeHut will send your first name, phone number, and e-mail address to the other party. Likewise, you will be receiving their contact information. ExchangeHut will then bill the seller our transaction fee (see below). Once the e-mail is sent, it is up to you complete the exchange. ExchangeHut is no longer involved, except for refunds (see below).
Transaction and Listing Fees
ExchangeHut charges a transaction of 4.98% to the seller on successful ticket exchanges. There is NO transaction fee for posting classifieds, offers to buy, offers to sell or signing up to be a member, only for successful exchanges. Everything else is free. ExchangeHut reserves the right to charge for premium services, but will notify users who incur these charges.
ExchangeHut bills sellers credit cards seven days after the transaction is logged into our system, leaving ample time for refund requests.
Refunds
If you sell tickets and the exchange does not take place, you may be eligible for a refund.
The following reasons are grounds for refunds:
If no money changes hands AND one or more of the following occur:
á The buyer does not return email or phone calls
á The buyer backs out of the purchase agreement
á The buyer does not want to pay the full purchase price
á The buyer purchases a ticket too close to the start of the event, making an exchange impossible
á Other reason, approved by ExchangeHut.
If any of these occur, you must request the refund as soon as possible. Refunds must be requested within seven days of the transaction.
Be prepared to follow through on all transactions that you agree to and refund will not be a problem.
Conduct
If you make an offer to buy or sell tickets, be prepared to honor your
offer. Do not try to sell tickets, books or other items that you do not have in
your possession. You are responsible for keeping your information updated at
all times! If you post that you are selling a ticket or book and are not in
possession of the book, you can be fined $5.00 by ExchangeHut for
inconveniencing your fellow students. If you offer to buy tickets
fraudulently, without intention of buying them or with the intention of
promoting another business, ExchangeHut reserves the right to fine you $100.00
per transaction or $10,000.00, whichever is greater. Classifieds are
different, and you will not be fined for posting items in classifieds you do
not have. Posting offers and not following through on them makes ExchangeHut,
not to mention you, look bad and we reserve the right to fine you for this
aggravation. Using ExchangeHut in any manner contrary to its purpose of
helping students save time and money is not allowed and may result in your
account being suspended. ExchangeHut reserves the right to terminate the
membership of any member for any reason.

Disclaimer of Warranties and Liabilities
ExchangeHut is an online forum designed for college students to buy and sell textbooks and tickets at the fair market price and learn more about their local campus. The information provided to us is from college students like you. We have never met most of our members and make no claim as to their creditability. ExchangeHut cannot guarantee that every offer to buy or sell is legitimate. We may refund your transaction fee, but we are not able to anything more.
We, our subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees and our suppliers provide our web site and services as is and without any warranty or condition, express, implied or statutory. We, our subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees and our suppliers specifically disclaim any implied warranties of title, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. In no event shall we, our subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees or our suppliers be liable for lost profits or any special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with our site, our services or this agreement (however arising, including negligence).
When personally meeting someone to complete a transaction, be smart. While this person should be one of your fellow students, make sure you meet in a safe place where you do not put yourself in harms way. We advise users to bring a friend to exchanges and that students should meet in student unions, coffee shops or well lit, high traffic streets and public places. ExchangeHut is not liable for any accidents or crimes that take place during an exchange. Please use caution and common sense.
Our work is copyrighted. All of the writing in our website is the property of EHCS, LLC. and is protected under copyright. None of the material may be reproduced without our written permission. ExchangeHut reserves the right to republish the material contributed by our members. By posting an offer, rating, message or any other comment, you expressly grant the right to ExchangeHut to republish the post or message. Without being able to do this, the website does not work.
